FAQ
Common questions.
If something here isn't covered, the How it works page is the next best place to look.
Who is this for?
UK contractors, facilities managers, building owners and competent persons producing Fire Risk Assessments. If your day involves issuing RAMS to a client or a principal contractor, this is for you.
Will my documents look like mine, or like RAMS Engine's?
Yours. You upload a logo and set a couple of colours; every document is issued under your branding. RAMS Engine doesn't appear on the document.
Is this legal advice or a template service?
It's a template service. The structure follows the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, but the content of the assessment — and the responsibility for it — sits with the competent person who signs it off.
How are review dates handled?
Each document has a review date you set when you issue it. The dashboard surfaces upcoming reviews so they don't sit in a folder until the next inspection.
What's coming after the Fire Risk Assessment?
Generic Method Statement template, COSHH assessment, working-at-height assessment, and a few site-specific RAs. Order is led by what users actually ask for — see the document library for the current roadmap.
Can I save a draft and finish it later?
Yes. Documents start as drafts. Save anything in any state, return to it, and only mark it complete when you're ready to issue.
Still curious?

Set up your company in two minutes and start a Fire Risk Assessment — see if the way it's structured suits how you work.
